Environments
CRSS considers the physical environment as a significant tool to enhance a person’s quality of life.
Environmental considerations:
- Everyone’s sensory needs are taken into account
- Furniture choices meet the needs of the individuals
- Personal preference reflected in decorations
- All houses are decorated and cared for to maintain a sense of home
- All Individuals have personal bedrooms as well as enough space for them to feel comfortable and to allow for privacy and maintaining dignity
All CRSS homes are zoned for group living in their local municipality. They receive annual fire inspections, are suitably insured, and have protocols for ongoing monitoring and maintenance.
Environmental Standards are consistent with MCSS Quality Assurance Standards which ensurea high physical standard and a healthy, safe environment for those we support
How our process works
Referrals can be submitted by placement agencies to care@crsservices.ca.
We will request information about the individual to ensure we have the details needed to conduct a thorough and accurate assessment as we strive to create a harmonious and supportive environment for everyone.
Our clinical and placement teams carefully review each referral to ensure the best possible fit for both the new and existing residents.
We understand that a timely response is important, so we aim to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours.
If CRSS is deemed the right fit, we arrange meet-and-greets and home tours. Individuals, families, and case managers have the chance to visit the facilities, meet the CRSS team, and learn more about the program—all planned to align with the individual’s preferences while minimizing disruptions for current residents.
A personalized transition plan is developed, including a calendar of key dates for meeting staff, visiting the home, and joining meals with future housemates. Our team provides full support to ensure a smooth and successful move-in.
