Environments
CRSS considers the physical environment as a significant tool to enhance a person’s quality of life.
Environmental considerations:
- Everyone’s sensory needs are taken into account
- Furniture choices meet the needs of the individuals
- Personal preference reflected in decorations
- All houses are decorated and cared for to maintain a sense of home
- All Individuals have personal bedrooms as well as enough space for them to feel comfortable and to allow for privacy and maintaining dignity
All CRSS homes are zoned for group living in their local municipality. They receive annual fire inspections, are suitably insured, and have protocols for ongoing monitoring and maintenance.
Environmental Standards are consistent with MCSS Quality Assurance Standards which ensurea high physical standard and a healthy, safe environment for those we support
